WATCH ~ My First Short Film – “Lost Time”

After 2 and a half years, the first project I worked on post-college has been completed as a short film “Lost Time.”

My friend Kamran Rathod came to my house one summer night in 2017, to show me one of his favorite paintings by Edward Hopper. He knew I had studied screenwriting so he said, let’s make a story based on this scene and these characters. We brainstormed, drafted a script and boom- just like that- “Lost Time” was born 3 years later.

“Lost Time” went through a LOT of changes, evolutions and de-evolutions but it finally was refined to this 15 minute short.

Kamran assembled a bad-ass crew of young creatives that volunteered to work on this project. It was an amazing experience to work with passionate people that are all looking to hone their skills. I got to know a lot of great people and become one cohesive unit.

He’s incredibly driven, knowledgeable and I had a great time working with him and I can’t wait for the next project!

Without further ado… Lost Time.

This film is dedicated to Zippy Wangui, a talented and creative Camera Operator, who sadly took her own life before the completion of the film.

She was a funny and bright person that made a huge impact on me during the short time we spent together.
